We developed the design of many spaces in this home, starting with the update of the daughter's childhood bedroom into a guest suite. Working with a large collection of early American antiques and art, the traditional 1930’s home evokes New England roots. Using a few of the existing pieces of furniture in the room, we reupholstered the antique love seat for the sitting room, and added a custom chair and ottoman. Several antique finds were selected to harmonize with the homeowner’s collection.

The complete renovation of the powder room started with the trompe l’oeil wall mural, which created a dreamy backdrop that echoed the natural view out the windows. A reclaimed terracotta floor, laid in a herringbone pattern, repeated the original terracotta floor in the breezeway. Traditional fixtures were used to match to the existing home with brass and bronze accents. A beveled mirror with a faux bamboo antiqued gold and matte iron frame completed the space.
