Piedmont, CA

The client, an architect, was in the process of an extensive remodel to her own mid-century modern home. The house is designed around a series of outdoor spaces, with gorgeous views of the Bay through a grove of Acacia trees.  She asked us to design her living room and dining room to feel unique and natural.

For the dining room, we proposed a custom tree trunk table with a zinc top. To further accent the view, we hung a custom, hand-blown glass light fixture over the table. Wood grain became an important part to the integrated palette of dark finishes with silk, velvet, and an antique mirror unifying the space. In the living room, our selection of antiques, commissioned artwork, and custom furniture brought this modern yet traditional home to a new level of vibrancy.
